One of the announcements in Budget 2023 was the removal of the $5 charge for subsidised pharmacy medication.

This equates to a saving of a maximum of $100 per year, as there was already a protocol in place that meant that $100 was the most a person would ever have to pay for subsidised pharmacy medication per year.
That hasn’t stopped the Labour MPs and their cheer squads from making out it is a bigger deal than that.
